Suggested representation arrangements in the Tasman district
11 January 2024: For the representation structure in the next local election it is suggested to disestablish the Moutere-Waimea ward. It is favoured that the Moutere area in the north of the current ward (including Upper Moutere, Māpua, Ruby Bay, Coastal Tasman, Tasman Village, Dovedale, Ngātīmoti) is merged into the Motueka ward; and the Waimea area in the south of the current ward (including Wakefield, Brightwater, Redwood Valley) is merged into the Richmond ward.
