Tasman Democracy’s primary purposes are:

promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being in the Tasman district
advocate for the interests of the community on a Local and Central Government level
provide education on legislation and rules applicable in the Tasman district
encourage and support debate, dialogue and democratic decision making
